PMOI participate in the first Majlis (Parliament) election

Despite all the limitations and pressures exerted by Khomeini, to include, eliminating Massoud Rajavi, PMOI’s candidate for the presidency, by a Fatwa; in order to preserve freedom and democratic process, PMOI extensively participated in the election. PMOI created a new political environment bypresenting a list of innovatory and progressive candidates, invigorating national solidarity and unifying the political factions.
