
On January 25, 2004, it was revealed that 8 Pakistani nuclear scientists, most famous of whom Abdul Ghader Khan, father of Pakistan’s nuclear bomb, were involved in transferring nuclear equipments to Iran.
According to state-run news agency, the interrogators confirmed that at least 3 of eight have confessed to dispatching nuclear technology to Iran.
In an interview with the Daily Telegraph, a senior Pakistani official said: One of the scientists stated: In secret negotiations with Iranian officials we provided them information on necessary equipment for building a nuclear bomb as well as the apparatus needed and name of the companies and countries where those could be obtained.
