Shahindokht Molaverdi, Hassan Rouhani’s deputy in women and family affairs, described the issue of drug addiction as an important challenge for the country and all families.
“55% of all divorces in the country are due to this dilemma,” she said.
“Studies show around 10% of drug addicts in the country are women. This trend will increase and escalate into social damages for families, especially their children,” Molaverdi continued.
