The Iraqi media reported of the painful news of criminal assassination of Sheikh Abdul Sattar Abu Risha, Secretary General of the Council of Salvation of Al-Anbar province, and one of the strongest opponents of Iranian regime’s meddling in Iraq.

Sheikh Abdul Sattar Abu Risha, who is now among the Iraq’s national martyrs, was one of the bravest Iraqi tribal leaders, and a vanguard of his people in one of the most complicated political experiences to save Iraq from the vortex of bloodshed created by mullahs’ regime’s agents.

This prominent tribal personality had sincere and old relations with the Iranian Resistance and the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI). He emphasized on friendship of the al-Anbar people and tribal leaders with the PMOI and neutralizing of the Iranian regime’s role in Iraq through removing the PMOI from the terrorist list. He once said: ” Mullahs are terrorists themselves, who are they calling as terrorist? Iranian mullahs are terrorist, not the Mojahedin.”
