In a press conference held in National Press Building in Washington DC, the meddling of the Iranian regime in Iraq and the ways to confront it was discussed. Dr. Salih Mutlaq, the leader of Iraqi National Dialogue Front, also participated in this press conference through conference call, and Ayad Jamal-addin from Allawi’s fraction took part as special guest in the conference.

This press conference was held by Iran’s Policy Committee (IPC) on the occasion of publishing the most recent book of the Committee titled as ” Baghdad Ablaze”. The participants discussed the meddling of the Iranian regime in Iraq. They regarded Iran’s meddling as the main source of violence and internal conflicts in this country and said that the only way to stop violence is the eviction of the mullahs’ regime from Iraq.

Professor Raymond Tanter said according to investigations carried out by the IPC which have been reflected in the book ’Baghdad Ablaze’, the Iranian opposition in Baghdad, the PMOI, has had an effective role in attracting Iraqi nationalist and democratic forces to the political process.
