Al-Rafedein TV cited informed sources saying Maliki’s military personnel have begun digging wide ditches and erecting high berms around Baghdad International Airport on the Abu Ghareib side.
According to this report these preventive measures by Maliki’s military are carried out taking into consideration the possibility of armed tribes advancing towards the airport, especially after the major defeats Maliki has suffered near the Baghdad beltway and Anbar Province.
