People in Yemen’s Ta’izz Province are celebrating following victories gained by popular resistance forces in the city of Ta’izz and significant advances made in this strategic province.
The main element behind the people’s celebrations is the capture of the Cairo Castle by the popular resistance forces as Houthi militants were using this castle to launch mortar rounds on the people. Therefore, this nightmare that haunted the locals for months came to an end with the advances made by the popular resistance forces. One of the more important victories in this province is the capture of the “Al Arus” base in the Saber heights. This area oversees Bab al-Mandab strait and areas of neighboring provinces. Capturing these heights has strengthened the popular resistance forces’ positions in Tai’izz Province.
