Parliament member from Kashan (central Iran) reported 32 months of delayed wages of this city’s textile factory workers. “The voice of Kashan’s textile workers is not heard by anyone,” Asghar Geranmayepour said.
The state-run ILNA news agency reported Geranmayepour describing his written notification to Ahmadinejad saying, “In 2007, during the government cabinet’s first trip to Kashan, the President announced with a clear voice before 100,000 people of Kashan that he will look into the problems of the textile workers’ problems once he returns to Tehran.”
“The workers of this factory have not received their wages for the past 32 months,” this parliament member added, saying after four years there have yet to be any measures to solve these workers’ problems. “Up to 3 months ago, the workers of this factory were working while receiving very small weekly wages. Now it has been 3 months since all work in this factory has come to a complete halt.”
