
In the 63rd session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, the member countries of the European Union condemned the violation of human rights by the Iranian regime and asked for an end to the wave of suppression and arrests in Iran.
The Portuguese ambassador who is currently the rotating president of the European Union, on behalf of the member countries of the European Union in the United Nations General Assembly, condemned the systematic violation of human rights in Iran including execution punishment, especially for the youth under eighteen, and also stoning, flogging and amputations of the accused.
In the session, the country members of the European Union warned Iran to stop the wave of suppression and arrests of human rights activists, journalists and students.
