The Iraqi Accord Front headed by Dr. Adnan al-Dulaimi and National Al-Iraqiya Faction headed by Dr. Ayad Allawi welcomed the designation of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corp (IRGC) and the Qods Force for involvement in the activities regarding mass destruction weapons and support of terrorism.

Al-Hurra TV reported: Members of the Iraqi Accord Front, consider the order of US State Department and Treasury Department on imposing economic and financial sanctions on the IRGC, and its terrorist designation compatible with the Accord Front’s concerns about the Iranian regime; the concerns that this Front had emphasized on repeatedly and in deferent occasions due to the Iranian regime’s meddling in Iraqi internal affairs.

Al-Hurra added: Some members of other Iraqi factions also welcomed this United States’ decision and stressed that the economic and financial sanctions as mentioned in this order would be effective in abolishing IRGC and Qods Force’s activities in Iraq through assisting militia forces and armed groups.

Va’el Abdullatif, Member of Parliament from National Al-Iraqiya Faction, headed by Dr. Ayad Allawi, said: It could be said with confidence that the right point has been stressed on. Limiting the Iranian regime’s interests has consequences which have been assessed by the United States.
