Yemeni popular resistance forces and National Army units have been able to defuse dozens of landmines placed by Houthi militants and elements of the ousted Ali Abdullah Salah prior to fleeing their positions in the provinces of Aden, Lahij and Ibb, Al Arabiya reported on Monday, August 10th.
A source in the resistance said the militants had placed these mines alongside the roads of Aden, Lahij and Abyan to stop the advances made by resistance units. Moreover, the militants had also mined residential areas inside cities and people’s homes to brutally inflict even more casualties on innocent civilians.
