Yemeni Foreign Minister Riad Yassin said in an interview with Asharq al-Awsat daily published on Saturday, August 29th Iran must end its meddling in the internal affairs of Arabic countries and stop its support for Houthi militants.
“The Houthis intend to turn Yemen into another Lebanon and play a role like Hezbollah in this country. This is completely rejected internally, regionally and internationally,” Yassin said, adding, “Sana’a will be liberated soon.”
Yemen’s top diplomat also emphasized on implementing United Nations Security Council Resolution 2216.
“Due to the recent victories on the ground in favor of the legitimate Yemeni government, the first step in the political solution in Yemen is to fully implement UNSC Resolution 2216,” he highlighted.
