Arab coalition forces are beginning to expand their military positions in Ma’rib Province in an area northwest of Sana’a, Al Jazeera TV reported on Tuesday, September 8th.

 
Yemeni army units are joining force with Saudi-led Arab coalition troops, stationing in various positions and launching an expansive grounds operations.

In this regard Al Jazeera TV asked military expert General Hassan Shahri is this rally of these forces the beginning of a new phase?

General Hassan Shahri: “This troop roundup, the various types of weapons and the Patriot missile system ready to down missiles that may be launched by the militants, Apache gunships and nearly 53,000 troops, they can act in complete independence in Ma’rib and al-Jawf provinces. They can literally break any resistance in all areas and finally place Sana’a under siege.

The final operation will be commanded by a chief general that is to be elected soon.
