Yemen: 40 Houthi militants surrender in Marebb Province

Houthi militants and troops loyal to ousted dictator Ali Abdullah Salah in the city of Ta’izz are literally crumbling, resistance sources said. These developments are taking place following the capture of Shabwah Province in the south and the full control of southern Yemen by popular resistance forces.
After taking over the governorate office inside the city of Ta’izz popular resistance forces started making advances and also captured the home of Yemen’s former dictator in the city’s Ghasr district.
Simultaneously in Marebb Province 40 Houthi militants surrendered themselves to a tribal sheikh residing in the northern areas of this province.
Heavy clashes have also been reported in areas east of the city of Ibb.
