
A number of popular resistance forces in Yemen who were injured by the Iran-backed Houthi militants have been transferred to Sudan, Al Jazeera TV reported on Sunday, September 6th. Following this group a number of other injured fighters will be sent to Khartoum, capital of Sudan to received medical care.
Sudanese officials have said 68 patients arrived in their country as the first batch, and they expect nearly 50 others to arrive in the coming days and be hospitalized in various facilities.
Sudan and Yemen agreed in the beginning of August to have wounded Yemeni fighters be sent to Khartoum, and in addition a number of Yemeni students are scheduled to be accepted in Sudanese universities.
