Video : At least three people killed in clashes after election in Kenya

In tonight’s edition: Kenya’s election chief dismisses opposition hacking claims, two are killed in a grenade attack in Burundi and through a photo exhibition, South African artist Zanele Muholi aims to draw attention to what she says is a lack of liberty for women in her native country.

France24, 10 August 2017 – Kenya’s electoral commission defends the security of its biometric voting system as the count from Tuesday’s polls continues. At least three are killed in violence amidst allegations of rigging from Raila Odinga who is vying to wrest the presidency from Uhuru Kenyatta.

Also, at least two are killed in Burundi’s capital in a grenade attack. It is the latest of several this month. The country remains tense two years after a crisis sparked by President Pierre Nkurunziza’s controversial third mandate.

And as South Africa celebrates its national women’s day we meet one of the country’s artists who has headed to London with her vision of the struggles faced by women in her native country. Zanele Muholi’s self-portraits explore her frustrations with a lack of liberty.
