In recent Iraq violence news, the US government said it is weighing conducting humanitarian operations to help Turkmens in northern Iraq in the city of Amerli that are currently besieged by ISIS forces.
12 to 15 thousand Turkmens are besieged in the Amerli area without access to water or food, US officials said. This would be the second humanitarian aid mission by the US in Iraq.
