US President Barack Obama told Saudi King Abdullah Friday, March 28, that the strategic interests of the United States and the Gulf kingdom remained “very much aligned”, a US official said.
Obama also sought to allay Saudi fears over Washington’s moves to engage with Tehran over its nuclear program, saying the United States “won’t accept a bad deal” with Iran, a senior US administration official told reporters.
