In a Radio interview, Air Force Lt. Gen. Henry Obering, director of the U. S. Missile Defense Agency, regarded Iran’s Shahab-3 missile test unjustifiable.

He said some aspects of this test are really amazing; launching such a missile with this much of error does not make sense militarily. I don’t think that development of Shahab-3 missile is contingent to conventional warhead; considering the high cost that the Iranian regime bears, this work is not justifiable and doesn’t seem rational; I think the Iranian regime’s missile program heightens the need of establishment of a missile defense shield for protection of US forces and its allies in Europe.
