US House of Representatives ratifies bill permitting terror victims to complain against terror sponsor regimes like Iran

The US House of Representatives ratified a bill upon which the US citizens that are victims of terrorism can complain against the regimes sponsor of terrorism like Iran and claim for compensation.

According New York Times, this $696 bn. bill was ratified after some modifications were made based on President Bush’s opinion.

The modifications permit the President to stop any issue related to the claim for compensation of victims of terror in Iraq. However, these modifications do not cover the victims of state terrorism by Iranian and Syrian regimes. The terror victims of the Iranian regime can withdraw from the regime’s assets in the US banks.

Sen. Frank Lautenberg, who had proposed this bill for adjustments and voting, expressed his satisfaction of its ratification.
