Navy Adm. William J. Fallon, the chief of Central Command warned the Iranian regime that should Iran continue to make trouble for US Navy ships in the Hormuz Strait, it would end to a serious engagement, reported Washington Times.
The Washington Times added that the US Army had to open fire in confronting an Iranian boat in the Hormuz Strait in December. This was similar to another incident on 22 December in Persian Gulf which happened to another US warship encountered with three Iranian boats, two of which were armed. The US warship blew warning siren instead of warning bullets that made the Iranian boats get away from the warship.
