The US Army announced during an operation against a terrorist network in the city of Kut in Iraq, 11 militias affiliated to the Qods Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) were killed.

The US Army statement said that terrorist network had been responsible for attacks against the Multi National Forces in Iraq. These militia forces were funded and supported by weapons by the Qods Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC).
