BBC News – Feb. 9th 2015 – The leaders of Germany, France, Russia and the Ukraine have agreed to hold face to face talks in Minsk on Wednesday as part of the latest diplomatic push to end the conflict in Eastern Ukraine.
Around 5400 people have been killed by fighting between Ukrainian forces and pro-Russia rebels since April 2014.
The talks will focus on a new peace plan calling for pro-Russian rebels and government forces to except the cease fire and pull back to a dividing line which was agreed last year. Meanwhile the fighting continues.
