The United Nations called on Bashar Assad to hand over the remaining chemical stockpiles.
The UN coordinator on destroying Syria’s chemical stockpile said 7% of Assad’s chemical substance stockpile remains inside the country, raising serious concerns for its neighbors and the Syrian people regarding a repeat of the East Ghoute massacre.
The Assad regime killed 1,500 civilians, mostly women and children, during its chemical bombing of East Ghoute.
