INTV, 19 Oct 2013 – The United Nations Security Council unanimously passed a resolution aimed at increasing and encouraging the leadership and participation of women in resolving conflicts and establishing peace in war-stricken countries.
This resolution, passed Friday night New York time, states the Security Council is deeply concerned about the vulnerability and serious harm of women in military conflicts and the period after, along with mistreatment, threats and human rights violations against women.
