Following an emergency session of the United Nations Security Council on the recent Russian aggression against Ukraine, UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon warned the Ukraine crisis has dangerously intensified.
German Chancellor Angela Merkel threatened more sanctions against Moscow. US President Barack Obama at a recent White House Press conference said new images clearly show Russian forces are present on Ukrainian soil.
US State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki said Washington is on the verge of passing new sanctions against Russia. On Thursday NATO reported more than 1,000 Russian forces along with tanks and armored personnel carriers have entered southeastern Ukraine.
