The British Ambassador to the US asked for further economic pressures on the Iranian regime to make it suspend uranium enrichment. Speaking in the Washington Institute for Near East Policy, he asked the UN Security Council to launch a new course of economic and travel sanctions on the Iranian regime.

Nigel Sheinwald also asked the European Union to impose more economic sanctions on the Iranian regime. He added: ” UK shares the US concerns on Iran’s combativeness.
AP reporting this news wrote that the BUSH administration is convinced, despite UUS Intelligence Community Estimate(NIE), that the Iranian regime is still continuing Uranium enrichment for nuclear weapon.

AP added that the Bush administration has postponed the Iranian regime’s request for a new round of negotiations in Baghdad.
