The Associated Press reported that the top commander of day-to-day operations in Iraq, Lt. Gen. Raymond T. Odierno, made a brief comment on security handover to Iraqi forces and said it can cause Iranian regime fill the vacuum of power, a matter of grate concern in that region.

He added: “we should be vigilant of excessive interferences by the Iranian regime. The vacuum of power in that region will also cause threat against the ground routs for transferring ammunition, foodstuff and other equipment from Kuwait for U.S. forces in Iraq.”
