Turkish President Abdullah Gul once again warned Nouri Maliki’s government to not turn disputes into sectarian quarrels because of instability, al-Sharqiya TV reported. The Turkish president stressed on the importance of all components of Iraq’s society taking part in the country’s political process.
It is worth noting that Turkish Prime Recep Tayyip Erdogan had also warned Maliki on January 24th saying, “Maliki should know that: if you start a conflict in Iraq in the form of sectarian clashes, it will be impossible for us to remain silent.’
