Turkish envoy in Baghdad summoned after Erdogan’s strong remarks against Maliki’s sectarian policies

The Iraqi government summoned Turkey’s envoy in Baghdad in a response to harsh remarks made by the Turkish premier against Maliki’s sectarian policies, Iraqiya TV reported.
The Iraqi government state-run television reported: “The Iraqi Foreign Ministry summoned Turkish Ambassador to Iraq Yunes Dimeral and expressed the Iraqi government’s concerns regarding Turkish officials’ recent remarks on Iraq.”
It is worth noting that Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan in a recent phone call with Maliki expressed his anger over his actions against Iraqi Vice President Tareq al-Hashemi and Deputy Prime Minister Saleh Mutlak.
