Islamic State has claimed responsibility for horrific attacks which took place in Tunisia yesterday, when gunmen started shooting in the Ebardo Museum. 23 people were killed in the attack, 20 of them foreign tourists. Tunisia’s Prime Minister said his country is now in a war with terror and promised he’d be merciless in his pursuit of the militants.
The authorities have said they have made 9 arrests, 5 of them whom are directly connected to the museum attack.
Tunisian troops have been deployed in the country’s major cities, following Wednesday’s gun attacks on the museum in Tunis. A former Al-Qaida operative said the two attackers trained with Islamists in Libya.
