In an interview with the BBC T.V. on Nov. 22, former US Deputy Secretary of Defense Richard N. Perle, a fellow at the American Enterprise Institute suggested the U.S. president Gorge Bush to support the Iranian resistance if he was going to solve Iran’s crisis.
He added, ’ We as the US government have been involved negotiating with the Iranian regime for seven years. During this period, this regime has been pursuing its atomic weapon program. During this period, the Iranian regime had supported terrorism around the world. So, what is clear now is that diplomatic solutions have not worked.
Replying to a question whether he meant a unilateral military action by the US, Perle answered: I mean a political solution and that is supporting millions of Iranians who want this regime to be changed.
