Following measures by Hungary on closing its borders with Serbia on Tuesday, to this day around 8,000 have entered Croatia to mostly reach their main destinations in northern European countries, especially Germany.
Various reports have been seen of tensions between Croatian anti-riot police and migrants on the border of this country with Serbia.
Croatian officials had said prior to this that in the coming two weeks they are expecting 20,000 more migrants to enter their country. However, due to the uncontrollable situation they may not be able to accept more asylum seekers.
“These people extremely tired. We have no sleep or any water,” a Syrian asylum seekers said.
Instead of the Serbia-Hungary border, asylum seekers are now heading to the Serbia-Croatia border.
