The sanctions committee of the UN Security Council asked its 193 member states to enforce the UN sanctions against Iran. Gary Quinlan, the Australian head of the committee told 15-member Security Council that the November 24 interim deal between the Iranian regime and the world six powers in Geneva would not alter those countries legal obligations in acting upon the UN measures.
