International Azzaman daily cited Dr. Mohammad Mahna, the special counsel to the Grand Mufti of Al-Azhar in Egypt as saying that Dr. Ahmed Al-Taieb, the Grand Mufti of Al-Azhar said during talks with Iraqi Prime Minister Haidar al-Ebadi in Cairo that his trip to Iraq and talks with Najaf religious authorities would be contingent upon the eviction of the Iranian regime from Iraq.
The Al-Azher Mufti who is one of the grandest religious authorities in the Sunni religion and the greatest Mufti in all Egypt told Azzaman daily after meeting Dr. Teisir Attamimi, the grand judge of all Palestinian territories and the chairman of the Islamic-Arab committee in defense of Ashraf that he is rejecting a visit to Iran, unless the Iranian regime changes its policies toward the region and end its meddling in the affairs of regional countries, especially the Persian Gulf countries.
