Al-Baghdadiya TV – June 28, 2010 – Senior Iraqiya leader and Iraqi Vice-president Dr. Tariq al-Hashemi said if Iraqiya, being the leading bloc of the elections, is set aside in the process of forming the next government, this bloc will not participate in the new administration.
He added, “The Kurdistan alliance has recognized Iraqiya’s right to form the new government. Other factions have also emphasized this right behind closed doors.”
Tariq al-Hashemi said there is no need for a compromised candidate due to the fact that the Iraqiya candidate, which will be entitled to establish the new government, has all the necessary conditions for success.
