Talks to extend the Gaza ceasefire after a 24-hour halt failed

The ceasefire between Israel and Palestine was extended for another 24 hours, but at the end of this period the indirect talks between Palestinians and Israelis broke down and hostilities resumed. The previous 5-day ceasefire ended at 12 pm Monday night.
