
Mohi-eddin Ramadhan Mansour, commander of the Syrian Special Forces has been killed in Syria, according to Al-Arabia television. The report indicates that Mansour was killed during clashes with Syrian armed opposition forces in Jisrash Shughur, west of Syria. He was injured during fighting while trying to repel an advance by the FSA forces. But he died due to these injuries.
The report says that more than 100 of the government forces were also killed during the fighting.
Mohi-eddin Ramadhan Mansour was assigned to the force during Hafiz Assad, the father of the current president Bashar Assad. He was known for his role in putting down uprisings and an element of Assad’s suppressive regime.
