Syrian rebels’ air defense units and electronic warfare squads have been able to down eight recon drones belonging to the Assad regime during the past few months, all around the Damascus vicinity. Two of these drones are state-of-the art 623Ps provided to Assad by the Iranian regime.
These drones stay in the air for 16 hours without refueling and distinguish between military and civil targets.
