Syrian army says it has initiated a wide-scale offensive against opposition groups. This comes as Russia says it has launched a wave of cruise missile from its warships in the Caspian Sea on the cities of Raqqa, Idlib and Aleppo.
Much of the Syrian army offensive is focused on the northern Hama Province in western and central Syria. Reports indicate at least 1 helicopter of the Syrian military has been shot down.
