The Syrian armed opposition announced on Saturday that its fighters blocked an offensive by the Assad forces south of Aleppo while Russian airstrikes continued around the southern skirts of the town.
Meanwhile, the Free Syrian Army announced that 3 groups associated to the FSA have joined forces under a new leadership called Nasr Army. The aim is said to be better prepared to repel further aggression by the Assad forces.
