During the past two months 1,000 Syrian civilians have lost their lives due to barrel bombings by the Assad regime, with 97% being civilians and 42% percent being women and children.
This report indicates half of these victims lived in Aleppo Province and while the United Nations Security Council resolution banned the Assad regime of bombing residential areas, nothing has changed on the ground.
The Syrian Human Rights Network has called on the international community to refer the Syrian government’s human rights violations dossier to the International Criminal Court for war crimes against civilians.
