The armed Syrian opposition said a staff brigadier general and his deputy, along with a number of other officers of Assad’s armed forces were killed by their ranks in Damascus, Al Jazeera TV reported on Saturday, August 29th.
Orient TV reported Staff Brigadier General Ranif al-Hassan and a number of his accompanied men were killed by Syrian rebels in the Abbasseen Square of Damascus.
This brigadier general was commuting along with other officers of the Assad army in his vehicle when he was targeted in this attack by Syrian rebels inside the heart of Damascus, Orient TV added.
