AFP, Nicosia, 23 Dec 2011 – The Syrian regime was ‘directly responsible’ for bomb attacks on security service offices in Damascus that killed 40 people, and which it blamed on Al-Qaeda, the opposition Syrian National Council said Friday.
‘The Syrian regime, alone, bears all the direct responsibility for the two terrorist explosions,’ said an SNC statement received in Nicosia.
‘It wanted to send a warning message to (Arab League) observers for them not to approach security centres.’
