Syria: rebels increasing pressure from south to take over Dera’a

Syrian armed rebels in Dera’a Province staged major attacks on areas controlled by Assad forces south of the city of Dera’a, Al Arabiya TV reported on Monday. Free Syria Army forces are attacking this city from various axes, eyewitnesses said.
The rebels launched missiles on security centers in highly protected Dera’a and Assad’s forces were seen panicking, military sources said.
The Assad regime is attempting to decrease pressure on its military centers by targeting rebel-controlled areas around the city of Dera’a with a large number of barrel bombs.
During the past three days FSA rebels have made significant advances in their operations aimed at liberating this city. Those monitoring the situation say battles taking place show the FSA fighters organizing penetrating groups and taking over all paths leading into the city to force Assad elements out of Dera’a and liberate the strategic southern Syria city.
