
The Fatah Army in Syria on Tuesday, August 11th captured the Tanmiya Base near the town of Ziyara west of Hama, reports indicate. This base was known as the main fort of Assad troops in this region.
The operation focusing on capturing this base was carried out by a large number of opposition fighters attacking numerous positions of Assad’s forces in the Sahl al-Ghab district.
This is the first time after the start of the Syria revolution that that opposition fighters capture areas surround the al-Asi River located in the western areas of Hama Province.
