The city of Daria is located near Damascus with an area of over 800 square kilometers. According to human rights activists this city has been the main target of Assad’s air attacks, especially in the past few months, Al Jazeera TV reported.
Assad bombers in just the past five days have dropped over 330 barrel bombs on Daria’s residential areas. These bombings have left at least 150 victims, most of them being women and children. Of course, all of this city’s residents have been victims of the injustice and silence of relevant international organizations.
During the past few months the Assad regime has allocated all its assets for genocide attacks and each day an average of 22 bombing raids are conducted in this area. Human rights activists have called for urgent action by international organizations to fully stop Assad’s massacres and strongly condemn these inhumane measures. Amongst all this the UN and major governments like the US have continued to remain silent, and this is an issue that must be taken into account.
