Syrian rebels in the city of Dariya near Damascus said more than 150 Assad troops have been killed in recent battles, most of whom belonging to the Fourth Division of the Republican Guard. The bodies of 46 of these Assad troops were left behind and a number of others have been taken captive.
The rebels were also able to destroy 8 military vehicles belonging to the enemy around the city of Dariya, and thus continued their advances towards the al-Mazze military airport.
