AFP, Tunis, 24 Feb 2012 – An international meeting on Syria will call for strengthening sanctions in order to make Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s regime ‘fold,’ French Foreign Minister Alain Juppe told journalists.
‘The conference will make a call for strengthening sanctions in a way to make the regime fold,’ Juppe said at the meeting in Tunisia, mentioning a freeze on assets of the Syrian central bank in particular.
