Armed Syrian fighters said they have attacked a large convoy of Assad forces’ main battle tanks near Damascus on Tuesday. This convoy was heading for liberated areas of East Ghouta near Damascus. Syrian fighters issued a statement stating how they have inflicted heavy casualties to this convoy and forced it to retreat.
This statement also reads that during the past few days 16 armored vehicles, 7 main battle tanks and more than 15 heavy machine guns belonging to Assad military forces have been destroyed. The heavy casualties suffered by Assad forces has been more than 300 troops in these clashes alone.
